Do you need to tell them where.............won't they research it with just the year of death??

To insure a complete search, provide as much information as possible.
Please complete the applicable section for each type of record requested: birth, death or marriage:

It does ask for date of death and place of death, but as it says above provide as much information as possible.

I think you might be able to find it if you have the approximate time of death and any other info you can provide.....

Hi, thanks for all the help. Her name was Josephine Marciano. Born in Palermo Italy on Nov 11, 1895 and she died on March 1980. Her petition for nat is number 408994. Her Social security is 121-20-2756. And her maiden name was Farone. Her parents were Carmelo and Anna. From what I was told Her father Carmelo had built the first Library in Schenectady if that would help. Because my mother thinks there is some big family plot somewhere upstate. I hope this helps.

Hi, I have been searching for a death record for my great grandmother who died in New York, city/state in 1896. I have paid for many searches with no luck. There are so many variations on the spelling of the last name and it seems they only look for the obvious. Wish I could cruise the listings. I am sure I could find it. I have learned even though I try to list all the variations I can on the form for a search they only search the obvious. For New Jersey, they only search county by county. At $15 a crack it adds up even though you request a statewide search the state archives doesn't do it.

lilbees.
