I am having a little difficulty with names and abbreviations in this baptismal document.

The "extract" is in old italian, not in latin.

A (dì) 20 Novembre 1765 Indizione quattordicesima

Thanks, Luca. I'm assuming that "Monte" refers to Monreale. I have some other questions for later and I have more extracts involving the same family.

I guess this is an extract of a death certificate. The names are a challenge on this as well.

Si, penso che sia proprio Monreale

img199.imageshack.us/i...iolima.jpg

A(dì) 29 Giugno 1781(?)
cini

A valere per uso di matrimonio

Luca,
I thought Giobbatta might have been a shortened form of Giovan Batistta. So it might actually stand on its own as Giobbatta or Giobatta (it appears both ways in the documents I have). I am curious about the reference to the body not receiving the sacraments and being buried in the Church of the Capuchin fathers. I also assume that the surname of Francesco's wife Vita is not known since it is not listed.

Another extract:

I am curious about the reference to the body not receiving the sacraments and being buried in the Church of the Capuchin fathers.

I also assume that the surname of Francesco's wife Vita is not known since it is not listed.

Luca,
90 and 94, astounding ages for both Benedetta and Francesco! It would be nice to have their birth extracts to substantiate their ages. The following extract is confusing--I don't think this is for Giuseppe Campisi but for his first wife Confused

I am afraid that adds to my confusion as the following extract seems to indicate that Giuseppe died again in 1805!

It is even more confusing since these documents are from the allegati of the 1824 marriage of Salvadore Li Mandri. I need to re-check my sources!
