wondering if someone here can help me find a naturalization record for Giuseppe/Joseph Malfara in Pennsylvania. looks like a couple of possibilities up there, i am looking for the one born in San Nicola da Crissa in 1863, living in Johnsonburg (Elk County) area.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

I do but since my password is auto-saved and I am at work I cannot access it until tonight (after work). I'll check back - if noone else posts your info, I will.

I have gone through footnote and while I did find some references to Joseph there were none that met your request. I will keep looking under variations but if you can, let us know how it was spelled when you saw it. This might help.

I noticed a few Naturalization papers for Giovanni Malfara... the only Joseph Malfara I noticed was a "witness" to someone else....

I noticed the same thing Liz ..I think I even checked one Giovanni thinking it could be him but it wasn't. There is a Frank Malfara living in Johnsonburg but it is only for SSDI so that won't help.

Yes, its the same one I saw, but the birth year is 1872 and the town different..although it could be the correct one. I saw 1892 originally (should have worn my glasses I guess).

Yet again...you rock.

I love it. It has a lot to offer and is constantly upgrading so I think eventually it's going to be very complete. I also like the new Family Search site. As much as I miss my ancestry subscription, I am glad there are other, more affordable or free options out there. A person just has to know how to find them and not be so fixed on the fact of "one stop shopping"!
