Hello! I have been researching my ancestry for some time and am now focusing on my Italian ancestry.

My great great grandpa Giovanni Francesco Copella was born 1854 in Italy. I have seen his surname spelled Capelli, Copello, Casello, Carepelli. He immigrated with his parents in 1857/1858.

His father was Francesco Copella born about 1816 in the Kingdom of Sardinia. Not sure if this means the island or Piedmont region.

Francesco may have had a first wife named Angeline. I know for sure that he had a wife named Martina Dallapiccola.

This is all I have to go on. I have ordered Francesco's naturalization record with the hopes of finding more info on it.

glad to be here!

Hi April

Welcome to Gente. Now that the holidays are over hopefully we can help you with your research. Were you able to obtain Francesco's naturalization record?
