I'm trying to find a ship's manifest for a Roberto Bastianelli I'm sure he arrived in USA shortly after 1960. Are records for this period of time available or is there a 'cut off' year (like census information) where you dont have access to that information?

Emmy,
I have a feeling that they are now 'open to view' until 1959 - but I'm sure there are others who will be certain of these details...

No it gives very little information. Just that the ship sailed from Napoli 2nd April and arrived at New York on the 11th.....These modern manifests are nowhere near as informative as the older styles. Here is the url for that page - I don't know if you can open it or not....

Thanks Carole kiss kiss it is him and the manifest was his too. This is Bob's cousin. I didnt know they lived in Macomb in Michigan. (That's where my dad's cousin's son lived, do you remember I just phoned his widow just recently.) Now if Bob's cousin happens to know the 'Josephine' I 'phoned that WILL give me the 'heebie geebies'
I'm in contact with Bob's cousin's daughter so I think I'll email her and give her Josephine's address just to find out how far away they live from each other. I'd better take care - they say 'Curiosity killed the cat'!!!! and satisfaction brought it back BUT What happens to the cat if you dont get satisfaction??? Wink Wink Wink

Emmy - here's where Carion Dr. Warren, Macomb is.... so if you Google the other address and then do a 'Directions from here to there' on Google you will see haow near they are. The arrow on this map is where the house is!

>Carion Dr. Warren, Macomb, Mich<

Thanks Carole
Only approx. 7 miles apart!!!!! only 16 minutes drive/25 minutes in traffic.
This is Spookey!!! And to think the trouble everyone has gone to to help me find Nicholas and Bob's own cousin living soooo close to them. It will be even more ????? is if they actually know each other, which although not likely, could be possible.
