I'm in for New York. I don't know about Italy next year. I just closed on the house on Friday and I think I got scared! But NY will be great. I lived there for 37 years and never went to Ellis Island (hanging head in shame). Haven't been there since I left on October 1, 2005.

New York on Columbus Day..Easter in Canada..and the anniversary of the day my Grandmother, Ermina (my namesake) passed away. I would love to be there on that day..

Don't feel bad...I never went to Ellis Island when I lived there either. I did see the Statue of Liberty though and watched as the Twin Towers were being built. Dad would drive us through the city to see their progress..its hard to believe they are gone.

As for a parade..wow! Never thought of that before...although I did think about going clubing...haven't done that in a while! And Jen won't be home to bother me as I dance... Wink

It does sound good, doesn't it? The last time I went to a club in New York was in the late eighties in Long Island with a cousin of mine.

Mind you, some friends of mine did take me out last year for my *21* (age changed to protect the old) birthday and we had a blast. And Carole sent me for my birthday 2 V.I.P tickets to one of the hottest nightclubs in Toronto "Guvernment" courtesy of her son. It was awesome.

Yes, I think I would love to go again.

If everyone is serious about this then we really need to work out some of the finer details.

Not to worry. I've got an idea on how to make you look a little older. I figured I could take you along disguised as my little brother, Jake. We'd dress similar--black hats, sunglasses, black suits, white shirts, skinny black ties. And oh ya, make sure you grow your sideburns and practice these moves.
