Stato d'anima records are Census' and Parish census records.

You will find on this link most of the Italian documents listed with their meanings. Hope it will help....

Thanks Carole! Has anyone out there asked for these records before? I'm curious to see what the best wording would be when asking for these records. Do i give the name of the head of the household? What information would best facilitate a response mm
