This looks like 1835 and I can make out Gaetano La Barbera age 35 wife Giuseppa Pupo?? age 30. I can't make out much of anything else.

The second image you can see Angelo as the child,Gaetano as the father and Giuseppa Pupo?? as the mother and to the far right it looks like 15 ditto.

Images are incomplete and pretty blurry

Thanks...I think this Angelo must have died. This is a new find in my tree, that there is an Angelo. No where in my tree are there other Angelo's. All male descendents that I know of from Bagheria are Gaetano, Antonino, Giovanni...so I wonder if the second Angelo 1839 died also or I just haven't found his decendents yet, though I think I have reviewed every LDS film since 1830! Is it common for the families back then not to name descendents after their first born, if the first born died young?

No.....actually.......in my family, my great grandparents had a boy named Nicola that died, then they named the second one Nicola also.......he died too!!

Try looking up the death records and see if there are deaths for Angelo's. I think that's the only way you can be sure.

I had a great great uncle named Michele who named 4 sons the same name. All but the last one died at various ages (#3 died at age 18). 2 of the 4 sons all named Francesco Saverio, had different mothers.
