Avanti di noi G...aldo Pittato Sindaco ed U. di S. C. del Comune di Bagaria, distretto di Palermo, valle di Palermo è comparso:
Gaetano La Barbiera, di anni 42, di professione xxx, domiciliato in Bagaria, il quale ci ha presentato un maschio ... ed ha dichiarato che lo stesso è nato da Giuseppa Nuzzo sua moglie, di anni 33 domiciliata con esso, e da esso dichiarante nel giorno di 26, del mese di sopra, anno corrente alle ore 16 nella casa di sua abitazione.
Lo stesso ha dichiarato di dare al neonato il nome di Angelo.
Battezzato il giorno 27

The priest from the mother church in Bagheria found the birth record of a Gaetano La Barbera born 1799, pretty close to the birth year that these records of his children state, but Gaetano born 1799 has a father named Nicolo and a mother named Ignazia. I know of no Nicolo in our family. So we have some doubt though a coincidence would also seem doubtful. Angelo is the first male name I have seen other than Gaetano, Antonio/Antonino, and Giovanni in my family tree on the LaBarbera side. But I have not seen any Angelo names other than this one. I have searched the LDS microfilms pretty hard. So I am afraid I am that infamous roadblock on the LaBarbera family tree...

Do you need a translation? The relevant data are:
Angelo La Barbiera, born Nov 26, 1839
Father Gaetano, aged 42, mother Giuseppa Russo, aged 33, wife of Gaetano.
