I can't understand what these results mean, from my DNA test:
But what I do know is that I am an exact match in the maternal line to a woman born in Gioiosa Ionica, Torrevechia Italy in 1886.
I can trace my direct maternal line to a Caterina (maiden name unknown) who was born about 1515 and married around 1534 to Francesco Maurici in Carini (PA) Sicily.
Anyone offer any advice??
Thanks!

I'm sure you must know of this site via Ancestry James...

This one might be useful too...

James..
The only thing I can tell you is that Gioiosa Ionica is in Reggio Calabria, not Torrevechia Italy. Not sure if that helps at all but I wanted you to know anyways.
Having said that, you can try contacting Lou Loccisano who is not only a member here, but hes done alot of work with DNA results with the people of Gioiosa, Martone and Grotteria. His site is called Calabria DNA Project. You should contact him. He's really nice and would love to share want he knows.
