Maybe not. I have seen records of marriages where the girl is as young as 12 *gasp* and 14 (which was not that young really). So is it possible? Yes, anything is possible. Only the proof though will confirm so keep digging.

Hi,

Just looking for any information on surname of Mazzella. I saw the one post concerning a possible Louisa Mazzella. I do not have that first name in any records of past family members. My great grandparents were born in Italy in 1856. Tommaso and Maddalena. They had five daughters, but no Louisa. I don't know anything else about possible siblings of Tommaso, but I am headed to Montesano in Camapagna next month to learn more. If I come across a Louisa, I will post any information.
