Hi, I am trying to find any information on my great grandfather Ferdinand Verrecchia who was born in Sant Elia on the 2nd December 1877. He was a soldier in Italy and moved to Manchester England in 1901. We are not certain but he supposedly moved after his first wife died and their are rumours of him having children with her. If I could find out his parents names, wife's name, children's name, I would be very grateful

The civil records fro Sant'Elia were destroyed in WW2 bombing raids. Since Ferdinand left before WW2 his records would not have been reconstructed after WW2. Your only hope is to check the parish records which are mostly intact.
