I just joined www.footnote.com for a month.
If anyone needs a look up let me know and I'll see what I can find. So far, it looks pretty interesting.
Thanks Biff for telling me about it.

Be careful with the naturalization records on that site. Some of the records are just index cards with a name on them and nothing else

Yes, Mauro,
I noticed that. On ancestry though it has the same thing...
Some of the records seem more details though. I guess for 8 bucks I wanted to see what they had... Plan on canceling my subscription after the one month mark.
Did you register as well before?

I did the "1.99" for one document option. I'm not sure if they still offer that.
The good thing about that site is that they seem to be continuously updating the content with relevant databases. I can't stand it when a site advertises a new database and it ends up being the marriage registry from Wackadoo County, Pennsylvania from the years 1813 to 1815

I know what you mean...the options they offer now are for monthly or annual rates. $7.95 a month or about $60 a year. So far, they are interesting..and you can download what you like so thats ok.
If you need something, let me know ans I'll look it up for you.

Footnote worked great for me since they have scanned the images for about 93% of the naturalization records for the Middle District of Pennsylvania where my paternal and maternal grandfathers and their brothers naturalized. I was also able to locate a large number of records for my cousins' grandparents. Well worth the $7.95 a month for me but I did check to see how many and what type of records were available before I subscribed. I wanted actual images of documents not indexes.
