This is a different Ignazia from that of 1936 (same parents).

L'anno 1838 il dì 13 del mese di Febbraio alle ore xxx.
Avanti di Noi Gesualdo xxx Sindaco ed Ufficiale di Stato Civile del Comune di Bagaria, distretto di Palermo, Valle di Palermo è comparso Gaetano La Barbiera di anni 40, di professione bardaio, domiciliato in Bagaria, il quale ci ha presentato una femmina ..., ed ha dichiarato che la stessa è nata da Giuseppa Russo sua moglie di anni 36 domiciliata con esso, e da esso dichiarante, nel giorno di oggi del mese di sopra, anno corrente alle ore 9 nella casa di sua propria abitazione. Lo stesso ha inoltre dichiarato di dare alla neonata il nome di Ignazia

So Ignazia 1936 must have died...what is the profession 'bardaio'?

Bardaio = Bardaro = Artigiano che produce bardature per cavalli = a person that makes (builds) the horse harness.
