Does anyone have any info on the origins of the Vigettis?

My grandfather's grandfather was a Giuseppe Vigetti, married to a Maria Minoli. Maria was from Oleggio.

Both died between 1925 and 1929. My records show he was born in Cressa, and his dad was from Prato Sesia. We don't have his dad's name.

Any info?

Have you tried writing away to obtain Giuseppe's birth act or their marriage/pubblicazioni acts? Both should provide you with parents names as well as a lot of other very useful details.

The family search website also has some records for Torino online so you may want to look there to see if anything is helpful to you.

Don't forget to look at the town websites for addresses and ideas/links.
